Aldila Tops Driver, Wood, & Hybrid Shaft Manufacturer Counts At The Players Championship

POWAY, Calif. – In a tournament that features one of the strongest fields of the year, The Players Championship, Aldila proved that it was the #1 shaft of choice by topping the competition in the driver, wood and hybrid shaft manufacturer counts. Aldila had 105 total wood shafts in play, which was 29 more than their closest competitor, according to the Darrell Survey. “The Hottest Shafts In Golf” also had 11 more hybrid shafts in play than the next leading shaft manufacturer.

Led by their leading RIP shaft technology, Aldila has won the wood shaft manufacturers count on the PGA Tour for 20 consecutive weeks. It has also won the hybrid shaft manufacturer count 19 times in 21 events.

“The top players on Tour continue to rely on Aldila’s RIP Technology™ (Reverse Interlaminar Placement) because it provides them with lower torque, increased tip stability and better tip stiffness control,” said Stewart Bahl, Aldila’s Marketing Manager.

Aldila’s latest addition to the RIP series is the Phenom, which incorporates Aldila’s Tour proven RIP Technology® with a unique shaft design to create a new and innovative flex profile for maximum distance and control known as the Hyperbolic Flex Zone. The new technology features a stiff tip section for optimal launch and spin control with a very firm butt section for an incredible stable feel, while the center section of the shaft is softer to provide unmatched kick through impact for maximum ball speed.

“The new RIP Phenom incorporates the same flex, torque and feel properties that have made the original RIP the leading shaft on the PGA Tour, with a flex profile to achieve unparalleled performance and launch characteristics for better players,” Bahl said.
