Hireko’s 1st Response To The “Design Our Next Driver” Call

Thank you for your comments!Driver Geometry 1

In Hireko’s “We want YOU to be a part of the design process for our new 2010 driver” campaign, we have received quite a few comments so far.  Not surprisingly there are a lot of varied opinions of what you would like to see.  This is the reason why we offer so many different designs to fulfill your wants and desires.  Since there was no consensus on the shape, we decided to do a compilation of the most popular shapes you requested and create something unique. This is an asymmetric design that uses the square profile of our Q2 driver and blends it with the triangular back of the Acer XK series. Let us know your comments.

    Jeff,

What about adding adjustment weights and shaft like the R9 driver?

I am the poster child for adjustability!!! However, looking at the comments in the other thread related to this article has half of the respondents wanting some sort of adjustability (such as weights, lie and/or face angle) and the other half want nothing to do with any adjustments whats so ever. So you can see the conundrum that designers are faced with in appealing to as wide enough audience as possible.

  4. Jeff-
No two eyes are alike but everyone has feelings in their hands. Give everyone a choice of three drivers that look similar to a brand name or maybe even a small, medium or large cc head.
The key to having a driver that works for you is in the right shaft, the right lie and the right loft. Help open the right door with the right key to choosing the right shaft for me.
Adjustable clubs are not the answer in my opinion they just seem to muddy up the water.
    Thanks for the opportunity.
