2009 marks our most ambitious year in offering innovative new products to golfers across the all corners of the Earth. If you have been familiar with Hireko for some time, you are going to instantly see a lot of positive changes. For those being introduced to our company for the first time you are going to wonder why you hadn’t heard of us before. One question I am often asked is “What clubs do you feel are your best?” You might thing I am a smarty pants for saying this, but all of them are. What I mean by this, it really comes down to the specific needs and preferences of the individual golfers. Some designs work better for some, while other designs are better for others. So for that very reason we offer a large variety. But all of the designs do have one thing in common – they have to offer all the game improvement features as we can stuff into each one.

Take for example the new Dynacraft Avatar XMOI (eXtreme Moment of Inertia) line. You guessed it the name implies that it will be extra forgiving starting off with a monstrous driver. I had to triple check that it was actually within the limits on size. It is! I always wanted to make a fairway series that was progressive-sized. You know, a big, easy-to-hit #3-wood, but do you really need a #7-wood that is huge as well? No, these are proportionally sized and still offer all the game-improvement you need. As a matter of fact, the crowns are cast as little as 0.5mm thick (that’s equivalent to 5 sheets of paper) allowing all the unwanted weight to be repositioned deep within the head. Our exclusive Variable Crown Technology (VCT) as we call it worked so well, we incorporated it into nearly all our new fairways and hybrids.

The progressive thinking trickled down into the hybrids or hollow-bodied irons too. A whole line where each club in the set is a different size, places weight where it is needed most for maximum forgiveness and yet maintains a cohesive look. As Austin Powers would say “Yeah baby!”

The sleeper product of the year award goes to the Power Play Caiman Raw Power #3-wood. Out of all the products why this one you ask? Well it is a standalone product, even though it is part of an entire line. This special project was challenge to create a #3-wood for a friend of mine. I thought if he has trouble hitting a #3 wood, there may be a lot of others like him – and believe me there is. You may actually be one of them too. The design is a totally new construction technique used by perhaps no other manufacturer that I am aware of. This along with new materials combine to form a high-end fairway wood that will help one achieve more solid contact and increased ball speed for greater distance and control. Once you see it and read the full description, you’ll wonder why somebody didn’t think of that before.

Speaking of our Caiman line, we added a matching iron to round out this unique line we started last year. This design is also made differently that we even had the engineers at the foundry scratching their heads on how to actually produce it. After several attempts of creating the tooling to be able to pull the wax out efficiently, special heat treatments, plus the air cannon testing to test for durability, we came up with something that is going to be very special. It incorporates the same high COR maraging steel face as the hybrids for increased ball speed and weight re-distribution. What’s cool is it flat out hits the ball long and straight like a hybrid, but still looks like an iron. OK, if you pinned me down, I would have to say these are by far the most forgiving iron in this catalog.

But we have many irons that perform well too. The Acer XK (the Acer XK Irons were named “Best Value” by Golf Digest in 2009 Hot List issue!) line provides a little bit of something for all with three totally distinct irons for different skill levels –especially one model in particular for the better golfer. The matching drivers, fairways and hybrids in this line a slight departure from the rest of our clubs – not just in the shape either. We focused on improving the performance by examining the face. The drivers are both cup face and variable face thickness. Yes it is more expensive to produce but the results are well worth the extra few dollars. The fairways and hybrids feature the same variable face thickness to help improve distance on off-center shots. This is our most versatile line. We even have a strong #3-wood and a seldom seen #4-wood in this line for true custom fitting possibilities

We developed a new line of woman’s clubs that is going to be the cat’s meow. Even my wife can hit these and get the ball airborne when she struggles with any other club given to her. The iBella Bellissima have generous lofts you will not see in any club on the market, which is one of the secrets to why this will be a successful line for years to come. Oh yeah, I might want to mention these come with a little “bling” with real Swarovski crystals. Not only will these play well on the course, but she will look good too.

However, the product I am most proud of the innovative Dynacraft Prophet ICT driver series. Well over a year in the making, this project was only possible after the USGA and R&A (golf’s governing bodies) made changes to the Rules of Golf. Imagine if you will a club you can easily change out a shaft when you just want to change or experiment with something new. How about change the face angle to play the ball left-to-right or right-to-left depending on the course you play. Or even change the impact position of the ball on the face of the club just by changing the lie angle? The patent pending Prophet ICT (Interchangeable Clubfitting Technology) adapter system allows you to all of these things and all with a turn of a wrench.

As you can see, we got a little bit of something for everyone and this is just a tip of the iceberg. We even have some cool new junior clubs to get them started the right way. I hope you enjoy our new designs as much as we did in designing them for you.
